NaNoWriMo 2017: My Novel’s Characters, Part One

NaNoWriMo is in full swing, so I’m going to be talking about my project repeatedly throughout the month. I’d like to begin by devoting a couple posts to introducing my main characters.

Let’s begin with Princess Amira.

Amira is from Aria, a country modeled after Arabia. She’s seventeen years old and has a knack for throwing knives. She hates the way her culture regards women and doesn’t have a good relationship with either of her parents. She’s betrothed to the Prince of Dratvia. Since the day she turned sixteen, she’s had the same nightmare every night and has no idea why, only wishes that it would stop.

Aesthetics (this is my first time ever doing this; tell me what you think!):

Amira is the narrator for part one of the novel (which is still untitled; I’ve never had a harder time naming something in my life). Part two will be told from the point of view of Prince Nikolai, who I’ll introduce next.

Are you doing NaNoWriMo? What do you think of my aesthetic for Amira?

Thanks for reading!
